Drama Ministry

Our society retains the most information from visual interpretations. People love to watch television or go to the theatre because the story is brought to life by actors and actresses. Our culture craves a great story, and the story of God is the ultimate story. Although drama serves the text, it is image based, allowing people to more easily remember what they have experienced.

At Washington Avenue, we believe that God is the creator of creativity and we want to use that creativity to glorify Him. Throughout the year illustrative dramas, Bible stories, Easter Passion Play, Theme Interpretations, and Reader's Theatre are used in ministry.

Not only actors and actresses are needed, people are needed to help with make-up, costumes, and set construction.
