Bro. Mark's Testimony
I grew up in a loving Christian home. My parents made sure I never missed a Sunday or a Wednesday activity at church.
While attending Sunday School as a boy, my teacher would ask who was saved and who was lost. In response to her question, I would always raise my hand. I was lost without Christ. This started the process of God convicting me of my sins.
One Sunday evening at Training Union class, the same question was asked. I raised my hand that I needed Christ. After class, the Spirit of God spoke to my heart that this was the night I needed to accept Christ as Savior and Lord. That evening service, I wrestled whether to wait or make a decision. As a twelve year old boy, I stepped forward and received Christ in my life. My life was changed. I knew when I died heaven would be my home.
Afterwards, I studied scripture and grew as a believer. After college, God called me into the ministry. I became the minister of music at my home church for twelve years, but little did I know God was preparing me to preach. Those twelve years under a seasoned pastor prepared me for the work of the ministry.
I feel so blessed to be able to minister in my home church. God has been with me every step of the way. I look forward to what He has in store for me and this church in the future.
